Mitchell Prather

Djembe Consultants' CEO possesses over 35 years of international experience in financial and corporate communications across Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. He founded Djembe in 2012 after leading the agency's operations in Africa and the Middle East at Grayling. Before establishing Djembe, Mitchell worked at Mubadala Development Company, managing communications related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and international financing activities. He was also responsible for corporate communication needs for key portfolio companies and employee engagement. Before his time at Mubadala, Mitchell served as Joint Managing Director at GolinHarris, co-leading a 28-member Pan-GCC corporate communications consultancy. Mitchell spent over 10 years in the UK, assisting European clients with bond issuances, fundraising efforts, initial public offerings (IPOs), mezzanine funding, and private equity investments and divestments. He also worked at Burson-Marsteller and Ludgate Communications in New York, supporting American Depositary Receipt (ADR) listings on the NYSE and NASDAQ exchanges. Mitchell graduated from San Diego State University, studying marketing and political science.
