Joyce Baz

Joyce Baz is the Head of Communications & Public Affairs for Google in the Middle East & North Africa. Joyce has been with Google since August 2013. Joyce is responsible for driving the PR and communications for Google and YouTube in MENA. She is part of the Google leadership team based in Dubai and helps shape the brand and reputation of Google across its products and programs. Joyce was a jury member of the Google News Innovation Challenge in the Middle East and Africa, an open-call for funding of news publishers in the region. Joyce also leads on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts at Google supporting women representation and progressions. Joyce has worked in Communications in MENA for 17 years, with a large focus on media and broadcast. Prior to Google, Joyce was a Public Relations Manager at MBC Group and Al Arabiya news channel. Joyce also worked at MS&L PR agency where she managed a portfolio of accounts including CNN International. Joyce holds a Masters Degree in Social Psychology from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) and an undergraduate degree in Business & Marketing from the American University in Beirut. Joyce speaks three languages, Arabic, English and French.
