When the constitutional right to abortion was overturned in 2022, American women saw their rights blasted back 50 years. MSI Reproductive Choices, one of the world’s largest reproductive rights organizations, wanted to help women safeguard their medical autonomy and drive donations to expand access to reproductive care.

But while many other reproductive rights organizations have focused on long-term legal battles and policy, we realized attacks on women’s privacy today extend online. Digital footprints — from period tracker data to search histories — have already been used in abortion-related criminal cases. So, we created the Vagina Privacy Network, a step-by-step protocol providing tools like a free, secure web browser to help women protect their privacy online. Earning coverage in USA Today and Pop Sugar, MSI Reproductive Choices saw a 107% increase in donations. The campaign continues to expand nationwide, helping women keep their private parts – private.
