Embedding Unilever’s Growth Action Plan strategy to global employees
Unilever
The Growth Action Plan (GAP) was introduced at Unilever in October 2023 by incoming CEO Hein Schumacher, with the objective to drive competitive, consistent and profitable growth and unlock higher performance. The GAP guided Unilever's strategic approach from October 2023 - November 2024 and has helped the business drive sales and volume growth.
Employee communications had the important role to deliver and embed the plan across the global workforce, ensuring that everyone understood the strategy and saw how their specific goals and targets laddered up. To build this understanding and engagement, an internal communications and engagement plan was created and executed, including global events, senior leadership team activations, content campaigns, channel re-brands and local and functional engagement. Unilever has now transitioned to our new, longer-term strategic roadmap, the Growth Action Plan 2030 – setting Unilever up for success over the next five years and beyond.
