Alasdair Townsend took a leap in 2013, leaving a promising PR career in London to move to Brazil. Despite some early setbacks, he co-founded Sherlock Communications in 2015, growing it into a leading PR agency across Latin America. Today, it has a presence in every LATAM country except Venezuela and Cuba, with 172 consultants.

Under Alasdair’s leadership, Sherlock has secured high-profile clients like Snapchat, Maersk, and Qatar Airways, winning 34 international awards in 2024. He also launched Unlock Latam, a B2B division generating hundreds of qualified meetings for clients. His hands-off, collaborative approach fosters innovation and employee well-being, offering flexible work, professional development, and a flat management structure. Beyond business, Alasdair champions CSR initiatives, encouraging pro bono projects with the agency providing financial donations to more than 100 NGOs in the last year. He also spearheaded Cricket Brasil’s growth, expanding participation from 1,000 to 30,000 players and helping secure major sponsorships.
