Ana Margarida Ximenes

President of ATREVIA in Portugal, Ana Co-founded ATREVIA in 1999. With more than 20 years of experience, she assists clients in crisis communication, reputation and change management, lobby & public affairs, internal communication, community relations, brand & marketing management working with major category leaders. Ana began her career as a journalist (in print, radio & television).
She holds a degree in Social Communications (Universidade do Minho) with a specialization in journalism, production, editing & audiovisual and a Business Management Degree (PDE) from AESE Business School. She's a founding member of the Internal Communications Observatory (OCI), a Board Member of the Portuguese - Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILE) and Board Member and EMENA Past Chair of International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
Along with Portugal's Foreign Ministry & the Ibero-American Secretary General, Ana was recognized with an award by IPDAL for the Promotion&Development of LATAM in Portugal. In 2009, was elected one of the Most Motivating Persons in Portugal by Business School ISCTE.
Judge of the following Awards: Lusofonos da Comunicação, Prêmios Comunicação Meios & Publicidade, Premios RH Magazine, European Excellence Awards 2017, EMEA Sabre Awards 2018, Mercury Awards.
She is member of the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD). She was Co-Chair EMEA PROI Worldwide for 6 years (2009-2015). She speaks Portuguese, English & Spanish.
